Composer Spotlight Series: Beethoven

Beethoven is one of the most famous and influential composers of all time. His immense output was pivotal in bringing about the transition from the Classical to Romantic eras and his music is revered to this day. Featuring members of the St. Louis Symphony, this program explores Beethoven’s chamber music for strings; including his bold and inventive Quintet in C major “The Storm”, Op. 29, for two violins, two violas and cello.

Performed by members of the St. Louis Symphony: Ann Fink and Melody Lee, violins; Katy Mattis & Xi Zhang, violas; Alvin McCall, cello.
